*Excellent Yao for an Unforgettable Experience in Tanzania!
We had an amazing experience exploring Tanzania, thanks to our outstanding guide Yao! From the moment we arrived, he was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. He was deep understanding of the local culture, history, and wildlife made every moment of our trip special.
Yao ensured that we had the best safari experience, spotting the Big Five and sharing fascinating insights about the animals and their habitats. He was also very attentive to our needs, making sure we were comfortable and safe throughout the journey.

*On our previous visits not only did we return to the village to say Jambo (hello) to all we saw there but we certainly had wonderful safari drives early in the morning, afternoon or all day long. Seeing the natural animals roaming is so beautiful, camping under the stars & hearing the lion roar is a never forgotten experience I highly recommend the hotels, lodges & food in Tanzania is unique.
We are so looking forward to our next trip to Tanzania in the coming months. Without meeting Yao, we would never have known or seen the number of off-track areas of Tanzania seeing Yao's experience as a tour guide, I cannot recommend anyone who you can find better for your Safari trip.
Book your awesome experience soon folks a definite 10* from us
Asante sana Yao

*In 2014 my husband friends plus I went for a safari to Tanzania. Our trip was booked through a travel agency in Ireland. On arrival we were met at the Kilimanjaro airport by our tour/safari guide Yao.
What an experience we had, taking in the Ngorongoro Crater watching the beginning of a migration which was awesome seeing so many wild animals so close to us roaming also the drives in the Serengeti were breathtaking and the other views we took in were so fantastic, my husband & I have returned three more times. Thanks to Yao we both got to see & do so much more especially see a true Tanzanian village life in the Simanjiro region.
Without Yao taking us & showing us this living culture which has so changed our feelings we have become so close to the village chief & villagers. The villagers are so talented as are the children but unfortunately in ways they are not recognized.
On seeing what we saw in 2017 we began doing some fundraising to help the villagers slightly improve their living circumstances plus help the children's educational needs. Our fundraising from home has helped get much needed schoolbooks, pencils, blackboards, chalk and many more items for the trenchers to educate the village children. We also helped during the year 2020 when the Covid hit so badly a small but very helpful little dispensary was built from the funding we raised to help the very unwell as much as possible.
2023 was our last visit to date which was very emotional to us both as we raised funding to get a drilled water well for the Simanjiro village. It was wonderful to see the clean water for all to drink with no more fears of catching anything from where the wild animals too previously drank from. To see the villagers now sowing crops & selling some to improve their lives is incredible.

Tanzania - Simanjiro Emboreeti & Lake Eyasi which are my home villages!
Kilimanjaro, Esilalei Maasai steppes land & Lake Eiyasi Hadzabe & Datoga cultural activities and Ngorongoro & Serengeti safaris & Zanzibar beach holidays, Ruaha,Gombe,Mahale,Saadani,Tanga & Mafia island!
Sharing the history of my people’s land, having fun with the guests, and making them laugh, being professional and caring towards everyone. I love being a guide!
I have been guiding for 21 years and I still love every trip!
I’m the son of a farmer, who loves nature, was born and grew up on rice fields on Maasai land steppes known as Simanjiro. I spent most of my youth helping my parents take care of our family livestock during the school holidays. I faced lions, leopard, hyenas, and others and even get a bitten by a black mamba snake and survive without hospital medications (I’ll tell you about this on your next trip!)
Our luxurious meal during this time, when we taking care of livestock in the jungle was ostrich eggs, we use to steal eggs from an ostrich nest, I think we were the fastest kids on earth because not easy to compete with female ostrich when she chasing you for especially you steal one of her eggs!
After completing Secondary School education I was lucky to join NOLS ( National Outdoor Leadership School) and graduate with Diploma in Wilderness Leadership. I also qualified for Wilderness Medical First Response Certificate under WEMSI INTERNATIONAL
I have lots of good friends through my job, I have children, a house, a farm, cows, and goats
Farming soya beans, taking care of my livestock in the jungle, helping my village chief with school and tourism plans for my village
I do love music and singing too, I love country music, reggae music. My favorite artists are Kenny Rodgers & Lucky Dube
African cooking style foods, organic foods
Anywhere nature calling me!
